More Volunteers Doing More Community Work In More Places than Any Other Service Organization
When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple. WE SERVE. In 206 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disasters, in schools and eyeglass recycling centers. Lions are doing community volunteer work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we are local, we can serve the unique needs of the Presque Isle community, and because we are global, we can address challenges that go beyond our borders.
We want everyone to see a better tomorrow. That's why we support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks, and eyeglass recycling, providing eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight and raising donations through campaigns like SightFirst and Campaign SightFirst II.
We believe everyone deserves a healthy life. From providing health programs that focus on hearing loss, to supporting efforts to control and prevent diabetes and measles, we're working to improve the health of children and adults around the world.
We empower the next generation. Whether it's providing youth volunteer opportunities and leadership experiences in a Leo Club or sharing a message of peace through our Peace Poster contest, our youth programs invest in the future by reaching out to young people.
We serve local communities and protect the planet. From performing hands-on community work and service projects, to providing emergency assistance, our community and environment programs improve our communities and protect the environment.

The Presque Isle Lions Club will hold its 42nd annual live lobster and prime rib dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 at historic Skyview Lodge on Highway W, just West of Presque Isle. This fun and delicious event for the whole family started as a birthday celebration for one of the Lions and has grown into one of the most popular dinners in the Northwoods.
This is a unique event where live lobsters are flown in from Maine and then freshly cooked to order. The evening is filled with a festive atmosphere and provides a terrific social event. Funds raised go towards vital Lions programs that support our community.
In addition, numerous gift baskets and other fun items will be raffled off. There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle that evening.
To reserve a spot at this dinner contact any Presque Isle Lion member or call 715-686-2073. Reservations must be in by Sept. 16. Lobster tickets are $40 and prime rib tickets are $30.
An annual family tradition. Enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh along the snow-covered lake paths, bonfire, s’mores, and hot drinks; plus sledding, ice-skating, and a special visit with Santa.
